Description

In the center of the image Adam and Eve are standing holding hands and looking at the horizon of an uninhabited planet through the porthole window of their space capsule. This planet could be Mars or any other planet or even Earth after a global catastrophic event. The hexagonal shape of the window is a symbol of order and harmony, but can also be perceived as a symbol of the units of the bee hive knowing that the concept of family is of a great value for bees. The couple can see a small planet far away in the sky, which could be just another planet or, if they traveled from Earth to a new planet, can symbolize Earth as well. Human figures is surrounded by a cross section of a tree - a symbol of relocation from the old to the new - as the tree was cut down and transported to a new place. Rings of the tree symbolize time or lifespan since with each new year a new ring is created on the tree trunk. In addition, the cross section of the tree also mimics the solar system structure where tree rings serve as orbits of the planets and little circles are the planets or other space objects. By the feet of Adam and Eve there is a spacesuit helmet - a symbol of space travel and conquering of space by humans, and the sprout growing out of it symbolizes a new beginning or a new life - it is a sprout of the tree from the seed that Adam and Eve brought with them on their travel.
